The towns around Valdepeñas also deserve a visit. Among all of them we recommend Almagro and its Plaza Mayor. Villanueva de los Infantes and its monumental ensemble with churches, convents, palaces and noble houses is another must see. You also must visit San Carlos del Valle and its Plaza Mayor as a show of the architecture from the XVIII century.

If you want to enjoy unforgettable landscapes, we recommend a walk through the Lagunas de Ruidera, a natural park formed by fifteen lakes. All of them define the valley of the Alto Guadiana, where the river is originated. Las Tablas de Daimiel is a wetland declared as National Park in 1973 and Natural Reserve in 1981.
