The Church of Los Trinitarios is another important one in the city. It was built between 1615 and 1632 in a baroque architectonical style.

In addition, you can see the history path by visiting the hermitages. The Hermitage of the Veracruz was built on the XVI century, nowadays is the Auditorium Francisco Nieva; the Hermitage of San Jose is from beginnings of the XVII century. Also highlight the Hemitage of San Marcos and the Hermitage of La Magdalena.

Surroundings

The towns around Valdepeñas also deserve a visit. Among all of them we recommend Almagro and its Plaza Mayor. Villanueva de los Infantes and its monumental ensemble with churches, convents, palaces and noble houses is another must see. You also must visit San Carlos del Valle and its Plaza Mayor as a show of the architecture from the XVIII century.

If you want to enjoy unforgettable landscapes, we recommend a walk through the Lagunas de Ruidera, a natural park formed by fifteen lakes. All of them define the valley of the Alto Guadiana, where the river is originated. Las Tablas de Daimiel is a wetland declared as National Park in 1973 and Natural Reserve in 1981. Here you will find a great variety of flora and fauna in a landscape with contrast between dry plains and wetlands.
